The cane is stretched out until the design is cohesive, then it is cut into 4 equal lengths and reassembled

Here I have gotten the cane into a rough triangle. The cane is cut in half, and two triangles are mirrored to form a square, ready for the final step.

The final result! 4 squares fitted together to form one larger square. Out of this cane many pieces of jewelry can be made.
